Understand Digital Marketing: A Complete Guide to Writing SEO Blog

A Complete Guide to Writing SEO Blog

Internet marketing is still a fairly new field. Although the internet has been around for several decades, internet marketing really became popular within the past ten years or so. It goes hand in hand with social media and smartphones. As more and more people began using their handheld devices to access the internet, marketers needed to find a way to connect with them. This goes beyond simple influencers and into the realm of Clicks Central Adwords Management. In order to understand how internet marketing works, you need to read this guide.

Do Your Keyword Research

The entire process starts with keywords. The easiest tool to use for this is free. You can find the Google Adwords Keyword tool just be searching for it. Once you’ve located it, enter your topic and follow the prompts. Before you know it, you’ll have a number of useful keywords that you can include on your website.

Make Sure That Your Content Is Relevant

There are two components to this. Your content needs to be relevant to those keywords that you chose to use. It also needs to match the topic of your website and blog. The search engines send out bots that crawl websites. If your content doesn’t match your title, then they’ll note this and tell those search engines not to send traffic your way. It’s very, very important that everything matches. You might be able to get away with an off-topic post every once in a while, but for the most part, everything must be consistent.

Stick With a Keyword Density of 1%

It’s almost too easy to work too many keywords into a post. Ideally, you need to stay within the range of 1% to 3%. This means that for every 100 words in a post, you use that keyword once (1%) or three times (3%). Any more than this and you could be punished by the search engines. On top of this, keywords that are used too often in a post can make it sound nonsensical. No one wants to read a post that’s literally stuffed with keywords to the point that it doesn’t make any sense.

Image Tags Are Important

There are also image tags that need to be used. These don’t appear on the page but are embedded into the code of your blog or website. Make sure that the keywords that you use appear in these tags. This is just another way of getting attention from the search engines.

Bold Some of Your Keywords

This is important to remember, as it helps your keywords stand out. One of the things that we emphasize to our clients at Clicks Central Adwords Management is that when people do keyword searches online, they receive hundreds if not thousands of results. Your website needs to appear at the top of those results, but it still needs to stand out from the others. The simple act of placing those keywords in a bolded font will do just this.
