Geoffrey Morell, originally from New Zealand is a well known nutritionist who has founded P.A. Bowen Farmstead along with Sally Fallon Morell. The main objective of the farm is to promote and ensure production of highest quality meat and dairy products. Apart from providing the community with a healthier food choice, he also opens up the farm for instructive prospects for the people. Geoffrey is happy to share his vision and production methods with new as well as experienced farmers, controllers and teachers. He also offers farm excursions so that visitors can learn about their special integrated farming techniques.
Geoffrey Morell is the co-founder of the Weston A. Price Foundation which considers raw milk and animal broths as the super foods. The foundation claims that nutrient-dense foods should be consumed regularly to keep the common diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, hypertension and cancer under control. Mr. Morell supports the ideologies of the foundation and this is why at his firm he sells
- Pastured dry-aged beef, as well as organ meats
- Conventionally cured bacon and ham and nitrate-free sausage and bacon
- Pastured beef and veal, chicken and eggs and turkey
- Artisan raw milk cheese such as Dreamy Creamy (DC Cheese), Prince George’s Blue Cheese, Chesapeake Cheddar and Aquasco Jack
These entire animal products at P.A. Bowen Farmstead are manufactured by utilizing the Integrated Farming System or IFS which is a blend of the modern as well as the traditional techniques and tools. The farm believes in raising cattle strictly by feeding them with grass and that is devoid of any pesticides, hormones, herbicides and growth enhancers.
In 1999, Geoffrey Morell along with Sally Fallon Morell and Mary G. Enig established the Weston A. Price Foundation which is a non-profit organization that publicizes the investigation conclusions of Dr. Weston A. Price. In his studies Dr. Price revealed the prominence of organ meats, meat, fat, and products made from milk that is fed on green pasture. In the year 2009, Mr. and Mrs. Morell bought the 95 acre Maryland property with the aim of making a cohesive farm that not only provisions best quality, grassland fed products, but also will assist in the economic renewal of the entire region. Rotational grazing technique is followed at the farm for all species.
The farm ensures that all species are offered with an environment that permits them to sustain. The grain mixture that is served to the poultry and pigs is non-Genetically Modified Organisms and free from soy and are mostly grown locally. Mr. Morell’s articles and blogs based on the significance of raw milk and animal broths and the advantages of grass fed livestock have gained maximum importance. Apart from this, he helps the farmers to know and understand the integrated farming techniques and helps them to implement it so that they can serve the community with the highest quality foods.
Thus, it can be concluded by stating that animal broths and raw milk should be included in the diet to stay healthy.
